What is the 90s photo trend prompt?

The 90s photo trend prompt is a short paragraph you give ChatGPT, Gemini or GPT Image 2 together with a photo of yourself. It keeps your face and re-renders everything else as a 1990s print: hard disposable-camera flash, ISO 400 grain, drugstore colors, period hair and clothes, and one of a few very recognisable 90s settings. Why the 90s photo prompt works for AI photo editing

Nineties prints have a look that image models reproduce very reliably: consumer film grain, slightly soft lenses, the hard shadow of an on-camera flash, and drugstore-lab color casts. Describing the camera and the lighting does most of the work; the model fills in period hair and clothing on its own.

The identity clause matters even more here than in the 80s prompt, because hard flash and grain flatten faces. Keep "do not alter features, do not invent a second face" in every version.
