Sunday Newspaper Color Comic Strip Prompt

Upload a photo and this prompt builds a bold 1980s Sunday-newspaper color comic around one exaggerated feature of the subject — glasses, a beard, a hat — riding it to a clean punchline. The example runs a 'power of round glasses' gag; thick linework, halftone dots, and yellowed newsprint sell the era.

Prompt

Create a comic strip using the subject in the uploaded photo. Design it in the BOLD style of a Sunday color newspaper comic, with thick black linework, halftone dots, and bright 1980s newsprint colors (saturated reds, yellows, blues, greens). Pick one clear exaggerated visual element from the photo (a distinctive feature like glasses, a beard, a hat, etc.) and build the gag around it, leading to a funny or unexpected punchline. 3-4 panels. Preserve the subject's face, ethnicity, gender, age, facial hair, and hair color across all panels. Dialog must be short, natural, easy to read, with a payoff that lands cleanly — no random non-sequiturs, no confusion. Comic panel borders, classic newsprint feel, slight ink-bleed and yellowed paper.

How to customize

Why it works: it picks one distinctive visual trait and builds the joke around it, with a strict 'payoff that lands cleanly — no non-sequiturs' rule, so the strip is actually funny instead of random.
Tune it: tell it which feature to exaggerate and roughly what gag; keep dialogue short and the '1980s saturated newsprint' palette for the retro punch.
Variation: switch to a black-and-white daily-strip style, add panels, or aim for a gentler, wholesome tone.
