Image Splitter
Cut one picture into equal tiles — a 3×3 grid for Instagram or WeChat Moments, a carousel strip, or any rows and columns you need.
Your files are processed in this browser tab and never leave your device.
Grid posts turn a single wide photo or poster into a mosaic that fills a whole row of your profile. On Instagram a 1×3 strip spans one row and a 3×3 grid fills three; on WeChat Moments and Xiaohongshu, nine tiles posted together reassemble into the full picture.
This splitter cuts the image into tiles of exactly equal size with no gaps or overlaps. Turn on "Crop to fit the grid" and it center-crops the photo first, so a 3×3 grid gives you nine perfect squares no matter what shape the original is.
All cutting happens in your browser. Tiles are numbered in reading order and downloaded together in one ZIP file.

Frequently asked questions
In what order should I post the tiles on Instagram?
Instagram shows the newest post first, top-left. Post tile 9 first and tile 1 last (or tile 3 first for a 1×3 strip) so the grid lines up correctly on your profile. For WeChat Moments and Xiaohongshu, select tiles 1 to 9 in order in a single post.
What image size works best for a 3×3 grid?
Start with a square image of at least 3240×3240 pixels so each tile is 1080×1080, the size Instagram displays. Smaller images still work but tiles may look soft on high-resolution screens.
Can I split an image into a carousel for a panorama?
Yes. Choose 1 row and 2 to 6 columns. Each tile becomes one slide, and swiping through the carousel pans across the full panorama.
Does the splitter reduce image quality?
Tiles are cut directly from the full-resolution image. PNG output is lossless; JPG output is saved at 95% quality, which is visually identical.
